Introducing the worldwide premier of something truly special. TruEL™ Wire is a new type of EL Wire that gains huge advantages over any other wire on the planet. First, we removed the small angel hair wires which are prone to shorting, and replaced with a more robust second core wire. This not only enhances the glow, but also allows for a longer lasting product, and even allows the wire to increase the brightness by adding more voltage or frequency to the product. Common EL Wire brightness maxes out around 100-150cd/m (candela per meter), whereas driving TruEL™ cable harder we can increase its brightness to around 300-400cd/m. In some instances where the wire only needs to work for a few days, like at a music festival or art installation, we can increase the brightness to over 1000cd/m.
Second, common Electroluminescent Wire is made from PVC, however we've replaced that with a more robust and eco-friendly proprietary TPU which has better moisture resistance, chemical resistance, durability, UV resistance, heat resistance, and tensile strength!
One of the most common issues with previous styles of EL Wire is that the weakest point of the wire were two small angel hair wires. This meant nearly any application that required movement, pulling taught over distances, or overdriving to increase brightness would cause the angel hair wires to short and the entire light installation would need to be replaced. In costuming applications, the repeated flexing of common EL Wire would make the wire short out almost immediately.

NOTE: This product takes more power than common EL Wire. When powering the product with EL Wire inverters or battery packs, you will notice the brightness is not as bright. If you are trying to maximize the brightness from the inverter, using the TruEL Wire inverters will allow for the product to be run at its brightest capacity. While technically the product can emit brighter light, because the circumference of the wire is almost 2x more than our standard EL Wire, it may appear a similar brightness (depending on color).
We use common carriers for our shipping, USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL (International). When placing your order, make sure to select the shipping method you need. Most orders take 24-48 hours to process, but custom cut or custom made orders can exceed this timing. If you have an immediate project deadline and want to check shipping, please contact us prior to ordering.
All returns must be accompanied by a return authorization code (RAC). Items returned without a RAC will be refused and no refund will be given. To receive and RAC simply contact Ellumiglow.com at info@ellumiglow and simply reference your Order ID Number. Our telephone staff will not be authorized to give an RAC Number over the phone. Please note that our evening and weekend staff will not have access to your order.
All items that come in boxes must be returned in the same boxes. Returns must be picked up and in transit no more than 30 days from the date of delivery and must include all instructions, pieces etc. On approved returns we offer a complete refund less all shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee. We will make all of the shipping arrangements for you. Please note if you have small doorways, halls or elevators that some large boxes may not fit. Please call for exact dimensions if you are concerned. Orders that will not fit in to a customers home will be subject to this return policy.
Custom Orders: Due to the custom nature of many products, we cannot accept returns on custom orders. These include custom lengths or custom made orders of EL Wire, EL Tape, EL Paint, EL Panels, LED Strip Lights, Laser Wire, SewGlo and VynEL. If you are concerned about the returnability of your products, please call or email us before your purchase.
Due to the nature of EL Paint, any EL Paint orders are ineligible for return, unless the product is defective at the time of delivery. In the event of defective paint and/or other items, the items will be exchanged and shipping costs will be the responsibility of Ellumiglow. Exchanged paint or items may be required to be packaged for shipment by the purchaser.
Please note: Custom cut or custom made lighting applications, driver or programming are non-cancellable, non-returnable upon order commencement. Lighting devices (Electroluminescent, Laser, LED products) from Ellumiglow/Future Illuminations used in combination with a driver and/or inverter from outside companies voids product warranty without exceptions.
We've made the returns process simple. Products purchased through Ellumiglow and under warranty* may be returned for replacement by following these steps:
1. Contact Ellumiglow's Customer Service at 877-615-6556, or email support@ellumiglow.com to obtain an RAC number. NOTE: Submissions without an RAC number will not be completed.
2. Fill out the Return Authorization Form in its entirety and submit the form. Please write the RAC code on outside of shipping box.
3. Return the authorized item(s) per shipping instructions.
4. Our Replacement Department will process your request.
