The new Chauvet Nimbus Dry Ice Machine is a professional dry ice machine which produces a "nimbus cloud" of thick, white fog which stays close to the ground. It remains close to the ground even as it dissipates, which makes this great for stages and other venues where only a low lying fog effect is desired. This machine heats enough water to create fog from 10lbs of dry ice to provide over 10min per run time with each use. Dual heaters make for a quick start up and recycle time, and low water sensor makes it easy to see how much dry ice is left. Low water sensor also shuts off heaters for additional safety. Multi-level control arm gives you a variable output along with an easy to control fog system.
Dry Ice Machines are different from Fog Machines and Haze Machines in a few different ways. A Fog Machine uses a high temperature, high pressure pump to throw the fog from the machine. This creates a heavy billowing cloud of fog. Haze machines use a lower temperature and very low continuous exit speed to disperse a thin cloud of haze throughout the audience. Dry Ice Machines do require the use of Dry Ice, which allows for a thicker, more compact fog.
