Parallel EL Inverters

Parallel EL tape can be run on the same frequency as EL wire, so you can use identical battery packs. 1/4" of EL tape uses approximately the same power as EL wire, so that's a good thing to keep in mind. When determining the size of the battery pack you need, you can easily figure out the square inches of the tape you have by multiplying the length of the tape, by the width. so lets say you order 10 ft of 1/2" wide EL tape. A=L*W 10 ft * 12= 120 inches 120 inches* .5inches= 60 inches ^2 In this cast the 9V standard battery pack would be the best fit for a portable set up, while the middy inverter would be best for a permanent installation.
